SADEQPOUR: Tehran tries to shoot the messengers

I would recommend this article :

In the past few weeks, Washington has been abuzz with a heated debate over the main Iranian opposition, the People's Mujahedeen Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
On the face of it, the debate is on removing the MEK from the list of the State Department’s foreign terrorist organizations - a decision that reportedly will be made soon by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In reality, to delist or not to delist Tehran’s arch-opponents is the battleground for a more profound debate in Washington on how to deal with Iran’s mullahs. The clerical regime’s egregious behavior includes facilitating operation of al Qaeda in the region through an agreement with the vicious terrorist group (as established by the U.S. Treasury Department last week), its unimpeded drive to acquire nuclear weapons, meddling in affairs of other countries - Iraq, in particular - acting as the most active state sponsor of terrorism, and its ruthless crackdown of Iranian citizens.

10,000 Revolutionary Guards cross the Iraqi border

WAKE UP WORLD!
Following resumption of shelling of Iraqi Kurdistan by mullahs’ regime and the al-Arabia Television’s report about the border crossing and invasion by the Revolutionary Guards into the Iraqi territory, Iraqi media reported that 10,000 Iranian regime’s armed forces crossed the international borders and forced the people in Iraq’s northern villages to leave their homes

The Swedish Parliament is among the 41 parliaments and Senates which supported our resistance and denounced the horrific and violent attack on our City Ashraf (CampAshraf) and in another words supported the MEK/PMOI (Mujahedeen-e-Khalq).

Parts of the Statment reads :

Arkan Arshad, an Iraqi MP from al-Iraqia Coalition said: The Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee has not been given any information about the formation of such commission, or about its envisioned functions.

Arshad said: Next week, we will question the government to explain this commission and the nature of its function.

Ridiculous staged press conference in Iraq to white wash blood of the massacre in our city Ashraf?

On Thursday June 6th, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, run directly by Maliki since few months ago, brought four agents of the mullahs’ Intelligence under the guise of former PMOI members to a ridiculous press show to justify the antihuman crime of April 8th against Ashraf residents, to whitewash bloody hands of Maliki, and to prepare the ground for further massacres.

It is  not surprising to have this staged scenario since a day before this we read on the net that Msolehi  in fars News agency interview :"made his remarks as: “The Iraqi officials have pledged that they will soon take good measures regarding the PMOI and Camp Ashraf… We insist that the Iraqis make decision about Ashraf compound as soon as possible, and they promise to proceed in this regard soon. Of course, they have already done good measures which are admirable; some coordination has been done which we hope would result soon."

Historic Gathering at Paris in support of my city ASHRAF!

The two previous gatherings , was just too enormous!. In 2009, concurrent with the brave uprisings in Iran, there was a huge gathering in Villepinte- Paris, with approximately 90 000 people participating. This was estimated through "Bus counts" alone, and did not include those who had traveled by car or came from nearby locations.
This year, and after the horrendous attack on Ashraf, which left 36 of us killed , I expect a huge gathering in the same place.

Mullahs in Iran fear of Internet uprising: We Are still ALIVE and ongoing !

Iran Vows to Unplug Internet

Iran is taking steps toward an aggressive new form of censorship: a so-called national Internet that could, in effect, disconnect Iranian cyberspace from the rest of the world.
The leadership in Iran sees the project as a way to end the fight for control of the Internet, according to observers of Iranian policy inside and outside the country. Iran, already among the most sophisticated nations in online censoring, also promotes its national Internet as a cost-saving measure for consumers and as a way to uphold Islamic moral codes.
In February, as pro-democracy protests spread rapidly across the Middle East and North Africa, Reza Bagheri Asl, director of the telecommunication ministry's research institute, told an Iranian news agency that soon 60% of the nation's homes and businesses would be on the new, internal network. Within two years it would extend to the entire country, he said

Hamid al-Mutlak: We agree with European initiative and disagree with relocation of Camp Ashraf inside Iraq .

Hamid al-Mutlak, an Iraqi Parliamentarian and member of the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament spoke with the Suraqia News Agency about the European Parliament’s plan for the resolution of the issue of Camp Ashraf residents and the veracity of rumors and reports in news media that Nouri al-Maliki’s has requested the Defense and Security Committee of the parliament to assess the issue of Ashra and has assigned the responsibility of this case to that Committee,Huna al-Iraq website reported on May 21.

Hamid al-Mutlak said: “We agree with any humane, ethical, and legal initiative. Accordingly, we support Europe’s plan in this regard and invite all parties to negotiations and answering positively to this initiative. Because in Iraq, that is to say, us Iraqis are a people of honor and dignity and we love our guests, and do not accept mistreatment or harassment of anyone. We support people’s dignity and rights, therefore, we are sympathetic to Ashraf residents and their pain and suffering, and cannot accept an attack against them regardless of who is the attacker.”

In response to Suraqia News Agency’s question regarding al-Maliki’s request from the [Defense and Security] Committee to take charge of Camp Ashraf case, Hamid al-Mutlak said: “This is completely void of any truth and al-Maliki has not made such a request. Al-Maliki has only asked the Committee to provide its suggestions and views and cooperate on this issue. Therefore, we agree with the Europe’s initiative and its implementation and disagree with relocation of Camp Ashraf to another location inside Iraq.”

Letter of the Bishop of Oslo to Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister for Camp Ashraf resident

Letter of the Bishop of Oslo to Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister
For provision of medical treatment and protection for Camp Ashraf residents
Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr StøreMinistry of Foreign AffairsOsloCamp Ashraf Situation
In previous reference to Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we raised the issue of hard conditions, harassment, and hostile situation against Ashraf residents.

On April 8, Iraqi security forces attacked defenseless Ashraf residents.
In recent years, the situation at Ashraf has been critical and has eventually led to killing of 35 people including 8 women.
Their relatives had expressed their concerns about another attack, beforehand. It is with great regret and sorrow that we, once again, witness these humans being subjected to violence and harassment.
As a religious obligation and specifically as a bishop, it is my duty to be the voice of those who are mistreated, harassed, suppressed, and denied of their rights. In this regard, we ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre to follow up with the Iraqi government on the issue of brutal attack against Ashraf and the necessary medical assistance for those wounded during that attack.
Respectfully,
Ole Chr. Kvarme
Bishop of Oslo

Khamnei vs AN: Report says Khamenei has given permission to verbally attack Ahmadinejad to soften shock of his removal should crisis intensifies .

NCRI - According to reliable reports received from sources inside the regime, after Ahmadinejad prevented mullah Moslehi from participating in the cabinet meeting for a second time, a session of regime’s Supreme Security Council was held at Khamenei’s order and it was decided that should Ahmadinejad insists on rejecting Moslehi, he would be ousted. A number of IRGC commanders, including Jafari, and a few members of regime’s parliament participated in this meeting and a number of decisions were made.

Subsequent to this meeting, Ahmadinejad, who contrary to regime’s traditions had not participated in the first 3 nights of annual ceremonies, showed up in the fourth and last night at Khamenei’s residence and invited Moslehi to the next cabinet meeting.

According to this report, Ahmadinejad has terminated the three ministers of Oil, Industry, and Welfare for their differences with Mashaei, and merging the ministries were only an excuse for him to remove them from their posts.

It is reported that Khamenei has now given his people permission to use verbal attacks against Ahmadinejad and criticize him at will, in order to reduce the shock and disorientation of regime’s forces, should the crisis intensifies and the decision for removal of Ahmadinejad is made.

This report indicates that Khamenei is trying to separate Ahmadinejad from Mashaei and the arrests of Ahmadinejad’s associates in recent weeks were aimed at this goal.

On the other hand, Ahmadinejad-Mashaei band believe that Khamenei does not have the power to remove Ahmadinejad, since such an action would be a serious blow to the regime, therefore, Khamenei will have to agree to Ahmandinejad’s actions, and such acquiescence will pave the way for Ahmadinejad’s future steps

FTO list main excuse for our massacre by al Maliki forces: deabted in the US Senate- May 20, 2011

Briefing on the United States Senate: Call for Removal of Iran's Principal Opposition, MEK, from FTO List, US Action to Protect Dissidents in Camp Ashraf .

PRNewswire-USNewswire - WASHINGTON, May 20, 2011

As President Barack Obama laid out his vision for a new chapter in American diplomacy in

dealing with the new realities of the Middle East, in a briefing on Thursday, May 19, 2011, former senior U.S. government officials urged the removal of Iran's main opposition movement, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), from the U.S. list of terrorist organizations as an absolute prerequisite to be consistent with the facts on the ground. The panel demanded urgent U.S. action to protect 3,400 Iranian dissidents in Camp Ashraf, Iraq and strongly rejected the State Department's draft proposal to relocate Iranian dissidents from Camp Ashraf to other places inside Iraq.

General Hugh Shelton, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (1997-2001), Howard Dean, former DNC Chairman; Tom Ridge, Homeland Security Secretary (2003-2005); Ambassador Dell Dailey, State Department Coordinator for Counterterrorism (2007-2009); Patrick Kennedy, Member of the House of Representatives (1995-2011), and Col. Gary Morsch, M.D. (USAR), addressed the symposium, chaired by Professor Raymond Tanter, former National Security Council staff.

"Our own State Department [is party] to the inhumane treatment of MEK members [in Camp Ashraf] because in spite of numerous recommendations it has received from very prominent Americans to take the MEK off the FTO list, it continues to slow roll that issue. By keeping the MEK on the list we, in fact, weaken the support of the most vital organization that could bring about change internal to Iran," General Shelton emphasized.

Secretary Ridge said, "If we are going to support …freedom-loving movements around the world, we have to include in that vision the pro-democratic forces in Iran -- the MEK, and Camp Ashraf. Political, military, law enforcement, and diplomatic leaders throughout this country, Republican and Democrat, liberal and conservative, have been united in their public support of MEK, and have urged this administration to delist them. The silence in face of the brutal retaliation against Iranian dissidents at Camp Ashraf in 2009 and 2011 is certainly inconsistent and one might argue hypocritical, given the administration's public support for the dissidents, the resistance and the protestors in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Syria."

Governor Dean said, "The MEK must be taken off the list right now. There is no evidence… The District of Columbia Circuit Court found there was no due process and there was no evidence. Our State Department needs to comply with the laws of the United States of America and take them off the list. This is a struggle for the soul of America." "Two senior State Department officials said… delisting wouldn't help Ashraf and that the U.S. hoped to move them to another Iraqi location. What are they smoking in the State Department? For God's sakes… if any harm comes to one of the residents of Ashraf, these so-called senior officials should resign at once… this relocation plan is a disaster…We have an obligation as human beings and as Americans to make sure that doesn't happen…We can get people out now."

Ambassador Dailey underscored, "Careful prudent and thought-out support to the organized, effective, and ever present opposition in Iran, the MEK, is essential. Camp Ashraf has been attacked twice as they had no weapons. They just locked their arms, ten killed the first time; 35 killed the second time. Clearly, this shows no intent and no capability to conduct terrorist activities. Currently, U.S. diplomats are recommending an internal relocation of the MEK and the Camp Ashraf residents. This will allow Iraq to continue to harass the residents with the eventual elimination of all the residents. This is totally unacceptable and should not be part of the U.S. foreign policy."

"The reason MEK is still listed as a terrorist organization is that our policy in the past has been one of appeasement. MEK is the biggest threat to the Iranian mullahs. If the mullahs are manufacturing and exporting systematic destabilization, systematic support for sponsoring terrorism, fundamentalism and the weapons of that war, the IEDs, we want to be on the side of the people who want to stop them," said Rep. Kennedy.

Having served at Ashraf, Col. Morsch said, "Let's stop the siege of Ashraf. Let's allow doctors and nurses to go in there. Let's ask the UNAMI to go in and to protect the people of Ashraf. Let's delist the MEK. They are part of that spring awakening, except they started many, many springs ago. And the rest of the world is just catching on."
