400 Camp Ashraf Residents Declare Readiness To Move To Camp Liberty

News Blaze - By Shahriar Kia January 04, 2012
Residents of camp Ashraf, in Iraq, said they were ready for relocation of the first group on December 30. They are moving from Camp Ashraf, to Camp Liberty with their vehicles and moveable belongings.

The UN Secretary General's Special Representative and the U.S. Embassy representative have been informed of their readiness.

In a meeting with the Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG) of the UN for Iraq, and representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the representatives of Camp Ashraf residents declared that upon a request by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, 400 of Camp Ashraf residents were ready to move to Camp Liberty on December 30 with their vehicles and movable belongings including kitchen, bakery, heating, cooling facilities, etc.

The representatives of Ashraf residents stipulated that as it was declared by Mrs. Rajavi on Dec 28, the transfer will take place based on the December 25 statement of Secretary Clinton, the December 26 statement of UN Secretary General and the December 28 letter of SRSG.

As she had stated, regrettably, the Government of Iraq (GOI) did not agree with her participation or the residents' representatives and not even their lawyers in the negotiations between the GOI and the UN. The SRSG, as he had stated, was only acting as a "facilitator," and he referred the decision on minimum assurances for safety and security for the transfer of all the residents to Camp Liberty to future talks.

The representatives of the camp informed the SRSG and the US representatives of information about a planned fourth rocket attack on Camp Ashraf to induce a forcible displacement of the residents. These attacks are contrary to a peaceful solution and are in clear violation of statements by Secretary Clinton, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, EU High Representative Catherine Ashton and letter of SRSG to the camp residents.

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, representative of Ashraf residents outside Iraq, drew the attention of the U.S., UN and EU officials to the readiness of 400 Ashraf residents to be relocated to Camp Liberty on December 30 and said: "It should be clear to the international community that from this time on, the GOI would be responsible for any delay, obstruction and prevention in transfer of these 400 Ashraf residents with their vehicles and moveable properties. The relocation of the first group of residents to Camp Liberty and the way they are treated would be a test for relocation of other groups within the extended deadline. The Prime Minister of Iraq stated on December 21 that he has extended the deadline for six months upon the request of the UN Secretary General."

The Iranian Resistance urges the UN Secretary General, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Ambassador Dan Fried, the special advisor to the U.S. Secretary of State on Ashraf, and the U.S. Ambassador in Iraq, to obtain the agreement of the Government of Iraq with the minimum assurances for the relocation of other Ashraf residents to Camp Liberty.

Shahriar Kia is the Spokesman for Ashraf residents, in Camp Ashraf - Iraq, and this story was released by the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran.

De-List MEK: Thousands Rally in Washington DC; Speech By Fromer FBI Chief Mr. Louis Freeh

Speech By Fromer FBI Chief Mr. Louis Freeh on 26 August - Washington DC

Thank you very much Patrick, Governor, my colleagues here and most importantly thank you to you; you’re a wonderful audience. And thank you Mrs. Rajavi for your eloquence and your 10 point program of freedom that talks about not just fundamental freedoms with freedom of religion freedom of women is just a template of what human rights is all about.
And as I told you in Paris: as soon as this organization is de-listed from what is a mis-listing, we want to come here and I told you I’d give you a tour of the FBI headquarters. You’re great, and our friends and family in many cases in Camp Ashraf hear you and feel your strength and remember the words of the great wartime leader, Winston Churchill, who said never never never never give up.

And your courage, our colleagues, the families of men, women and children in Ashraf, you haven't given up we’re proud to stand by you today and speak to you from this birth of freedom here in Washington DC.
You know we’re here between an earth quake right and a hurricane, but your voice, your voice for freedom today makes more noise and gets more attention in the building behind us and any hurricane or earthquake. You’re great, you're absolutely great and that’s because you are the voice of freedom, you are the voice of change and isn’t it great here in America, and many other places not in Tehran, you can assemble, you can lobby, you can argue, you to defend your rights and ask for freedom; God bless you for doing that.

De-List MEK: Thaousands Rally In Washington:Colonel Wesley M. Martin

Speech of Colonel Wes Martin (Ret.), Former Base Commander of Camp Ashraf, on 26 August Rally- Washington DC.

Ladies and gentlemen would like to thank the opportunity to be here. I grabbed a quote from Edmund Burke, “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing”. It is a pleasure this morning to be with you doing something to correct a serious wrong, the serious wrong was placing the MeK on the list. That serious wrong continues by keeping them on the list. Keeping them on the list does not support security and liberty throughout the world it supports the repressive Iranian fundamentalist regime. The MeK’s surrendered to American forces, they turned over their weapons, they accepted consolidation at Camp Ashraf, they renounced terrorism, even though they were not terrorists they renounced it as I would renounce it, and they accepted the protected person status.

Mr. BAN KI MOON : We will Stand till the end :UN chief urges solution to Iranian exiles in Iraq

Note from SABA; nevertheless as we have said: We shall stand till the end.
We have all , freely and independently chosen that in view of the repugnant regime in Iran: Multi executions ongoing, our families in prison under torture, the endless lies of the regime to western world about immunity, the endless ties it has and sham bribes and plots , the corresponding help it gets from tens and more lobbies such as NIAC and voices such as the Rubins , Larison and .., and in view of all other de facto .. , We shall still stand our ground. The regime is weak and in its last days. We are all freedom seekers branded by a weak regime as terrorists. But then again is this not a repetitious melancholy of history??
The Story by Reuters :

Iran, Mujahedin-e Khalq, and the US State Department

The Salon
By Hamid Yazdanpanah

At the end of June, the world watched as Iran test-fired 14 medium range missiles capable of reaching US and Israeli bases in the Middle East.  According to British Foreign Secretary William Hague, Iran has also been carrying out covert missile tests, “including testing of missiles capable of delivering a nuclear payload.”

In Syria, the Islamic Republic exercises its influence by assisting the worn-down Assad regime in brutally suppressing the Syrian people.  And in Iraq, we continue to see the hand of the Iranian regime in the ongoing violent insurgency, as well as in Maliki’s government.
