Responce to MSNBC lies about MEK

Response from the Natonal Council of Resistance of Iran
Editor's note: The following reponse to this article was received after publication from Shahin Gobadi, a spokesman for the Nationa Council of Resistance of Iran.
The claim that the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK) had any role in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists and the claim of the PMOI/MEK cooperation with Mossad is a sheer lie without even a scintilla of truth.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran has repeatedly denied the baseless allegation of playing a role in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists. The primary source of this baseless allegation has been the propaganda machine of the Iranian regime and its officials. The last MEK denial was on January 11, 2012. Faced with tightening sanctions, growing internal and international isolation, the prospect of losing its strategic ally in Syria and growing internecine internal feuding, the clerical regime is paranoid about the prospect of delisting of the MEK by the U.S. Department of State. As such, it resorts to any fabrication and fairy tales, including the one that has been rehashed by NBC, to prevent the delisting of the MEK.
The Iranian Resistance revealed last year that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had ordered a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to liquidate any managers or experts in nuclear projects if it detected that they are distancing themselves from the regime or intend to leave the country. He also said that the killings should be blamed on the MEK, the U.S., Israeli operatives or “world arrogance”.
On January 7, Fereydoon Abbassi, the Director of Atomic Organization of Iran, referred to widespread dissatisfaction among the regime's nuclear experts and told IRGC-run Fars news agency: "One should not lose site of the fact that just as we had deserters during the war, there are those scientists who refrain from cooperating with nuclear projects in order to maintain their international ties... Of course, we have never been worried and are not worried about this issue since there are plenty of human resources and experts in the country. At the moment, there is greater demand for activity in nuclear projects than there is the possibility.”  He predicted curiously that since the enemy cannot prevent the entry of science in Iran, "it resorts to assassinating Iranian scientists."
The totally fabricated story on the MEK is nothing but rehash of the thread-bare and baseless propaganda by the clerical regime. It gets repeated for a sole political objective: To justify the illegal, immoral, and baseless continuation of terrorist designation of the MEK by the State Department. A listing that is totally discredited, punctured from all directions and is on its death bed. It should be reiterated that no fantasy story such as the one by NBC and remarks by anonymous officials who according to the article make vague comments such as "all your inclinations are correct," cannot provide last minute oxygen to keep this listing alive.
The DC Federal Appeals Court ruled on July 2010 that there were no credible evidence on this listing and all of the documents provided by the State Department had been heresy and uncorroborated.  It said their sources were unknown or suspect and some were in and of themselves implausible. Thus, the court ordered the State Department to review this listing. More than 100 members of Congress, including Representative Mike Rogers (R-MI), Chairman of the House Select Committee on Intelligence, in a rare bipartisan initiative called for revoking of the listing. Dozens of the most senior national security officials of the past four administrations have joined this campaign.
Contrary to the claim of the article, this rare consensus, as has been stipulated by the most senior national security officials of the past four administrations, is because there exists no evidence and document connecting the MEK with terrorism and the US government has not been able to provide even a single document to this effect.
It is not a coincidence that the main source of this story, similar to the shows broadcast by mullahs on their state TVs, is Mohammad Javad Larijani, who has been introduced as advisor to Ali Khamanei.
The main mission of Larijani, who in fact has been one the ideologues of the ruling dictatorship, is to justify at the international stage the brutal suppression, public hangings and stoning to death  of Iranian people by the clerical regime.
Blaming others for what oneself does, is one of the main attributes of Iranian regime and its officials. In fact, Larijani is the same person that on 1990 officially declared that the only means for the survival of the clerical regime was to expand its fundamentalist brand of Islam other Islamic countries.  It is clear that the main means of this expansion has been export of terrorism, and fundamentalism.
The unfounded nature of these allegation become all the more clear if one recalls the claim about MEK's cooperation with the Ramzi Yousef for bombing Imam Reza Shrine in Mashad in 1994. This allegation amounts to defamation and could be pursued legally.  The MEK has never had any contact or connection to Ramzi Yousef. It is very telling that when this tragic bombing took place on June 20, 1994, Ali Khamenei, personally attributed the bombing to the MEK, something the MEK flatly denied at the time. A few years later, during the regime's factional feuding, a former member of the regime's Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) revealed that the bombing had been perpetrated by the MOIS and in particular by Saeed Emami faction, then a deputy of the MOIS.

IRAN: NUCLEAR: MEK , Ahmadinejad owes a thank you to Richard Engel and Robert Windrem at MSNBC

This is a seed :
What would be the best deal Ahmadinejad and the mullahs wish to get while they are facing an existential threat?
What would be the best escape goat for the tyrants in Iran?

Try to imagine the situation: on one side we have a dithering regime that is brewing with infightings reflected almost in every news article of its state run papers; wasting away because of the effects of the sanctions coupled with rising dissatisfaction within its own factions let alone the Iranians; losing grip over its dreamed Empire based on a Religious Jurisprudence; losing its long time ally in Syria because of a resolved people in the Middle East; and worst of all having to deal with an ever growing opposition which has proved to be worst for its existence than the stuxnet virus : the MEK.

Amnesty International is urging the Iraqi government to extend the deadline for the closure of the camp Ashraf .

URGENT ACTION
IRANIAN ASYLUM-SEEKERS IN IRAQ AT RISK
UA: 320/11 Index: MDE 14/043/2011 Iraq Date: 2 November 2011
Over 3,000 Iranian asylum-seekers living in a camp in Iraq are at serious risk of egregious human rights violations, including forcible return to Iran. The Iraqi authorities plan to close down the camp, which has previously been attacked several times by Iraqi security forces resulting in the death and injury of dozens of people.

The Iraqi authorities have publicly announced their plans to close Camp New Iraq, formerly known as Camp Ashraf, 60 kilometres north of Baghdad, on 31 December this year. The camp is home to some 3,250 Iranian asylumseekers who have lived in Iraq for some 25 years. The Iraqi government has repeatedly stated its opposition to the continued existence of the camp. The camp has been attacked several times by Iraqi security forces, most recently in April 2011, causing the deaths of dozens of residents and injuries to others. Camp residents are concerned that excessive force will be used again if plans to close the camp go ahead.

President Obama: Only you can Prevent Camp Ashraf Genocide

Ashraf countdown to Genocide...  - 55 Days
55 days left !! Have you writen a letter yet??

“We’ve got to do all we can to raise awareness of this so that people will know what is going on – but more importantly, so that the Iraqi Government knows that the world is watching”
Only before Christmas time ( less than 65 days away) more than 3,400 people face eviction from their home of 21 years in what Labour peer and civil liberties champion Lord Robin Corbett has described as ‘a pact with the devil’
Camp Ashraf, 60 miles northeast of Baghdad, is home to 3,400 members of Iran’s principal opposition movement, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK). Some 1,000 of the residents are women and one-third are former political prisoners in Iran, who survived the Iranian regime’s reign of terror and found safe haven across the border. Hundreds of university graduates from the United States and Europe joined them in the campaign to establish a secular, democratic, and non-nuclear republic in Iran. In July 2004, the United States recognized the residents of Ashraf as “protected persons” under the Fourth Geneva Convention and signed an agreement with each resident to protect them until their final disposition. In violation of that commitment, the US handed over protection to Iraq in 2009.On April 8, 2011, Iraqi forces, acting at the behest of Tehran, attacked Ashraf, killing 36 and wounding hundreds more. In a similar assault in July 2009, eleven residents were killed.

My name is Shaghayegh, I am 14, at Camp Ashraf
Our City Ashraf has now been turned into a Concentration Camp by Al-Maliki forces.
It’s now more than 2 years we are under siege.

Last night was freezing, but our fuel is cut.
They threaten us 24 hours a day through 300 huge loudspeakers.
My brother said, the mullahs are helping them out.
I saw new huge black boxes next to the speakers. My brother said it’s a communication interceptor and they want to cut us off from the outside world. What does he mean?

President Obama,
I want to be free like your daughter. I want my friends to have the same chance in Iran. But the Mullahs kill anyone who is with us.
They want us all killed like Srebrenica
Will you save us?!  Is it my fault since I want the same thing my dad and my sister wished for; to be Free? They were both killed; my dad was killed by the mullahs, my sister: by Maliki forces. Will I be killed too?

Dear US president Obama,
Only you in this world can help us. Otherwise we will all be killed.
Tell Maliki to stop threatening us.

My mum said, Maliki just said they will do everything they like to push us out of our city Ashraf. They will kill us and say that we did not let them into our camp like the last time.

Mr President, I am scared!

The UN has already started work to grant the refugees status, but this is needs time.

President Obama
can intervene and impel the Iraqis to lift the illegal deadline

President OBAMA: Prevent Genocide at Camp Ashraf

The Clock is ticking!

In less than 55 days, 3400 defenseless civilians face a holocaust in refugee camp Ashraf

We can PREVENT IT!

Euro-MEP STEVENSON: Iraq’s looming massacre .

Obama’s abandoning of Camp Ashraf to its fate would breach U.S. honor
The Washington Time
- By Struan Stevenson  November 2, 2011
It was the “mission accomplished” moment that millions of Americans had been waiting for and many of us considered long overdue: the official end to the war in Iraq and the return of all U.S. troops. Whether you believe the operation in Iraq was a noble cause or pure folly, President Obama’s announcement last month that fighting men and women would be coming home to their families in time for the holidays was cause for celebration.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu Message for my city Ashraf .

Delivered by her daughter Nontombi Tutu, at the international meeting at the
UN Headquarters in Geneva  September 21, 2011 on Ashraf

“I have in the past expressed my support for the people of Camp Ashraf. They have been granted protected status by both the United Nations and the multinational force headed by the United States and Iraq.
Since responsibility for their protection has been transferred to the Iraqi military, the camp has experienced harassment by both Iranian and Iraqi forces. The attacks and harassment experienced by the residents of the camp are in fact human rights abuses that require condemnation from all freedom-loving people.
Just this month, the UN High Commission for Refugees has declared its intention to consider individual applications for refugee status by residents of the camp.
“I ask the Iraqi Government and the international community to respect the integrity of this process, and to see to it that the residents of Camp Ashraf are ensured their safety and security, so that the UNHCR can fulfill its mandate in a safe and confidential location.”
I am Desmond Tutu, Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town.
September 20th, 2011, New York, New York.”

Swiss mull asylum for Iranian opponents

Switzerland is considering whether to take in refugees belonging to the controversial Iranian group, the People’s Mohajedin, currently living in Camp Ashraf in Iraq.

The organisation, which opposes what it calls the “mullahs’ regime” in Iran, was supported by the ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, and had several bases in Iraq when he was in power.

However, the current Iraqi government has friendly ties with Iran and wants to get rid of the Mohajedin as soon as possible.

The Swiss cabinet discussion of the issue comes after the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on September 13 that camp residents who had submitted requests for refugee status are to be regarded as asylum-seekers under international law.

Will U.N. Chief Ban Ki-Moon Do the Right Thing and Protect Iranian Dissidents?

Each September, like clockwork, a bestiary of the world’s worst rogues and criminal heads of state arrive at the U.N. building on First Avenue to join in the organization’s opening of the 193-member United Nations General Assembly.
This season, the winner of the contest for “greatest rogue with diplomatic immunity” is, once again, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran – a president with blood on his hands and nukes in his dreams who will get his 8" by 10” glossy photograph of a handshake with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon--and a P.R. platform supported by U.S. tax dollars.

President Obama; MEK Blacklisting Has Justified Murder Of My Daughter, Saba

This is my dad's article. He tried so hard to stop my bleeding and get me to a proper place. However, the Iraqi's would not allow him in time. He is still trying to prevent other deaths. Those many who were shot or crushed by Humvees on 8 April 2011. The Iraqis attacked our city Ahraf and plunged a curfew on our place. It's at least 16 months that we cannot bring proper food and medicine into our Camp.
Only this week they installed special dishes to create noise and cut out our communication to the outside world.
This, I know is a new plan for out massacre
And President OBAMA, does not want us alive ! If he did, would he not react to all this clear preperation for murder?
Is it not enough to have so many innocent lives killed in 9/11 by terrorists, and now more than 3400 people in our city Ashraf,  waiting to face the same attack? ?
In 9/11, the mullahs indirectly help the perpetuators, on this occasion too. They are indirectly helping the perpetrators.
But where does the White house stand on this?!

Dear Hillary, I am afraid I will be murdered: Poem by 14 year old Iranian

Hello all
My name is Shaghayegh, (Poppy)
I have so many words to pour out from my heart – in Love
In love of Freedom..
I am talking to you: Oh .. Iranian children
Can you hear my bewailed voice?
Untold stories of gallantry trying to burst out..
Children , Do you know about our place .. Here I mean? In Ashraf?
This is Ashraf City, the land of the daring heroes
If the land seems red and covered with red flower petals..
They are all hearts, all poppies that once were and now brick our way to freedom..
Even in celebrations of Light over the Dark .. even at time of war, they are there
Even if our reflections are filled with stones and rays of darkness by the bad force
All there is .. All we have;  is for your tomorrows’
All we have ..is our heart and in that, is your special place
In this city .. every memory is a bridge to gallantry
Here, each road, each ally reminds one of a poppy
My adorable, kind big brothers
The best sisters on Earth..
One of them, was my sister Faezeh
She was a miracle for my solitude
She spoke of the “Freedom” we could have tomorrow
When soaked by sorrow, she would speak to me of glee and joy
Under this solemn, grey worldly sky,
She.. She was a shining sun – over all goodness that ever was
In my missing moments and cold nights,
She filled my dad’s absence *
I  , I was always in love with her
I was always her little sis Shaghayegh
She would say: ‘ Shaghayegh , dads gone to God.
Look he is waving at us from up there!’
She would tell me …:
‘If I get killed .. when I am gone , when I am nearing the glorious sun
Don’t ever say ‘What shall I do now!’
Cuz I am staring at you from above.
I will come and visit you. The love I have for u.. will never leave ‘
When she was leaving us.. When her eyes were closing..
Her cheeks filled with poppy petals
Yes .. She left us .. she was gone
But she reached the stars and the sun
She.. She was like a bird that flew up ..high up ..
Children let me tell you…
She wanted FREEDOM
She kept saying .. there is a PRICE for FREEDOM,
She wanted our future to change color and be BLUE
She wanted the sun to win over the clouds and shine on us
I can still hear her voice
Her flag.. the waving flag? I am carrying her Flag
Now and ever more,
I want to take her Flag
Its message for genuine life
And hoist it in Iran .. just like a waving flag
Waving over Iran when the breeze of change comes .. it will shout one name :
I will make sure its hoisted;  Under the name of IRAN

Shaghayegh is 14 and lives in Camp Ashraf. her sister was among those 36 who were shot in cold blood on 8 April 2011.
Her father was mudered by the mullahs in prison, some say under toture. His body was never given to his relatives but was burried clandestinly and later told to relatives.

De-List MEK: Thousands Rally in Washington DC; Speech By Fromer FBI Chief Mr. Louis Freeh

Speech By Fromer FBI Chief Mr. Louis Freeh on 26 August - Washington DC

Thank you very much Patrick, Governor, my colleagues here and most importantly thank you to you; you’re a wonderful audience. And thank you Mrs. Rajavi for your eloquence and your 10 point program of freedom that talks about not just fundamental freedoms with freedom of religion freedom of women is just a template of what human rights is all about.
And as I told you in Paris: as soon as this organization is de-listed from what is a mis-listing, we want to come here and I told you I’d give you a tour of the FBI headquarters. You’re great, and our friends and family in many cases in Camp Ashraf hear you and feel your strength and remember the words of the great wartime leader, Winston Churchill, who said never never never never give up.

And your courage, our colleagues, the families of men, women and children in Ashraf, you haven't given up we’re proud to stand by you today and speak to you from this birth of freedom here in Washington DC.
You know we’re here between an earth quake right and a hurricane, but your voice, your voice for freedom today makes more noise and gets more attention in the building behind us and any hurricane or earthquake. You’re great, you're absolutely great and that’s because you are the voice of freedom, you are the voice of change and isn’t it great here in America, and many other places not in Tehran, you can assemble, you can lobby, you can argue, you to defend your rights and ask for freedom; God bless you for doing that.

De-List MEK: Thaousands Rally In Washington:Colonel Wesley M. Martin

Speech of Colonel Wes Martin (Ret.), Former Base Commander of Camp Ashraf, on 26 August Rally- Washington DC.

Ladies and gentlemen would like to thank the opportunity to be here. I grabbed a quote from Edmund Burke, “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing”. It is a pleasure this morning to be with you doing something to correct a serious wrong, the serious wrong was placing the MeK on the list. That serious wrong continues by keeping them on the list. Keeping them on the list does not support security and liberty throughout the world it supports the repressive Iranian fundamentalist regime. The MeK’s surrendered to American forces, they turned over their weapons, they accepted consolidation at Camp Ashraf, they renounced terrorism, even though they were not terrorists they renounced it as I would renounce it, and they accepted the protected person status.

De-List MEK: Thousands Rally In Washington: Patrick Kennedy

Text of Speech by Patrick Kennedy on 26 August, Washington rally.
"killing American servicemen and women in Iraq and in Afghanistan make no mistake about it enemy number one is Tehran"

De-List MEK: Thousands Rally In Washington : British MP Brian Binley

Thousands of Iranian - Americans rallied in Washington DC, to demand an end to the shackling of the Iranian opposition: MEK.
The Mujahedin e khalq is a pro-democracy movement whose founders first culminated the MEK after they separated from the popular National Front that went back to the days of Dr. Mohamad Mosadegh – the iconic National leader that nationalized the oil industry and hence helping the poverty stricken Iranian Nation at the time.

Delist MEK: Thousands protests in support of Camp Ashraf

Politicians, former national security officials and thousands of others gathered outside the State Department on Friday to call for the removal of the Mujahedin-e Khalk, an Iranian opposition group, from the list of foreign terrorist organizations.
Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” blasted from large speakers and doves and clouds of confetti flew into the air as former congressman Patrick J. Kennedy (D-R.I.) introduced the group’s leader, Maryam Rajavi, to speak by video link from Paris.

“I salute your protest and gathering, which symbolizes an uprising for the freedom of the Iranian people,” said Rajavi, speaking in Farsi.
The controversial group, usually called by the acronym MEK, is made up of exiled Iranian dissidents who organized in the 1960s and now are mounting a political and legal campaign to end their designation as terrorists.
The group violently opposed the rule of the shah and initially supported the Islamist regime that came to power in 1979, but they became disillusioned with the theocracy and eventually fled amid growing hostility.

Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) emceed the rally in front of the State Department headquarters. The event also featured speeches by former Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA), former FBI Director Louis Freeh, former CIA Deputy Director of Clandestine Operations John Sano. "One of the greatest moments was when my uncle, President [John F.] Kennedy, stood in Berlin and uttered the immortal words ‘Ich bin ein Berliner,'" Kennedy exclaimed. "Today, I'm honored to repeat my uncle's words, by saying [translated from Farsi] ‘I am an Iranian,' ‘I am an Ashrafi."

Thousands of participants chanted “Delist MEK now” as speakers emphasized that the FTO List has contributed immensely to recent death toll in Iran and in Iraq of MEK members of families.

A huge crowd moved into the pavement with yellow banners that represent MEK gatherings with the distinct slogan: "Delist the MEK" on every portable item.

Installing new trailers south of Ashraf to increase psychological torture

New attempts to increase psychological torture on a Camp:
The Camp is not turned from a city with refugees in them to a concentration camp! by Maliki forces in Iran at the behest of the Vicious mullahs in Iran.
The objective is to eradicate 4 generations of dissidents in that camp.
The pretext is that these people are in the US terrorist list and therefore liable to any treatment since they are terrorists.
The reality is that these people are only dissidents to the mullahs in Iran who have escaped at least 30 years ago from execution. Most of them have their relatives executed or have them now in prisons under torture.
They are the survivors of a holocaust in which 30 000 were hanged, executed or mutilated under order by the Pasdaran ( Iranian guards). This is documented and famous event of the 1988 massacre in Iran.

Right now :
On August 11,  Iraqi forces have installed two trailers at a new compound to station agents of the Iranian regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security at Ashraf’s southern flank. It has been 20 months now since MOIS agents have inflicted psychological torture on Ashraf residents day and night through 300 loudspeakers, depriving them of any sleep and threatening them with further attacks and massacres. Gathering information on additional sites inside Ashraf and preparations for the next probable attack is another objective pursued by the MOIS agents in installing these trailers.
Iraqi forces used Army cranes and vehicles to transfer the trailers and building materials to the site. They have also carried out preparations to install new towers to increase the number of loudspeakers already installed around Camp Ashraf.

The Iranian regime has sent e,ements long time ago to brew chaos around the camp in order to provide a situation or a prext for an attack by the miliatry that is already stationed there.

Danai-Far, the Iranian regime’s ambassador to Iraq and an MOIS agent by the name of Haj Ali on August 8th paid a visit to the Jadide Shat district of the town of Khalis located near Ashraf. Under the pretext of hosting a dinner party, they paid a number of their Iraqi elements to encourage them to file legal complaints and claim compensation from Ashraf residents based on ridiculous grounds such as “occupying agricultural lands” that belong to them. This measure is intended to pave the road for further attacks against Ashraf residents. Danai-far has promised to provide fabricated and forged documents for them.

Iraqi forces steal our power generators in Camp Ashraf instead of securing us!!

The Iraqi forces on August 11th stole a generator from one of the occupied buildings in Ashraf’s northern section. This generator is valued at tens of thousands of dollars and it is now placed at the disposal of MOIS agents at their new site at Ashraf’s southern flank. This is while the Iraqi government in an inhumane act is obstructing the delivery of fuel to Ashraf.

Is the International "EYE" going to watch, as we are being stricken of all we have to give us life and food?
At the moment the temperature reaches 60 degrees at time in our city. We had baught all the generators without one money and hard labor. These thieves ordered by Al-Maliki, are stealing our bungalows, cars, generators, trying to make life impossible in Camp Ashraf.
They have stolen up to 9 million dollars worth of generators and bungalows some which were supposed to give us air, cool the clinic which houses critically ill people and also keep our food.
Is the world going to be silent?
Is this a gradual death under the nose of the United Nations Monitoring team that is supposed to keep control of the situation?
Will they for once report the truth of the harsh realities that we are facing in the Camp because of Al-Maliki siege on our city?

106th Day of si-in at UN in Geneva: Iranians ask UN to prevent Massacre of my friends

Iranians have been protesting in front of the UN - Geneva, for the silence it has kept over the massacre that took place in my city Ashraf on April 9th. I and 35 others were killed. (I know it sounds strange).
They shout : UN, UN take Action, ensure Ashraf protection
But.. UN is still SILENT !
I was thinking: ... Are we going to be the next Srebrenica??
Is the world going to wait and watch? or are they actually paving the way for a bloodshed?

I am remembering the scenes: Utmost viciousness on behalf of the Maliki forces, and maximum tolerance and bravery on behalf of my friends. The Iraqi thugs - or military- had attacked with bullets, sticks and Humvees as well as sharpshooters, where as we?.. Well we had our placards in hand asking them to respect our basic rights.

Attempts to demonise supporters of Iranian resistance

Finacial Times:

From Lord Archer of Sandwell and Lord Fraser of Carmyllie.
This letter is a responce to an article written by NIAC memebrs ( a known mullahs Lobby that works with the State Department to bring US policy inline with Tehran)

Sir, Your article “Favourite ‘terrorists’ in US focus on lobbying” (July 30) and its complementary piece on FT.com, “Heavyweights back Iranian exile group”, repeat the Iranian regime’s stale allegations against the main organised opposition group People’s Mujahedin of Iran (Mujahedin-e-Khalq) and do a disservice to the Financial Times’ record of unbiased journalism. They are part of an effort by Iran’s intelligence ministry to demonise the supporters of the Iranian resistance.
